We may update this Privacy Policy to comply with changes in U.S. federal or state privacy laws (including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, the Colorado Privacy Act, the Connecticut Data Privacy Act, and the Utah Consumer Privacy Act), international regulatory requirements, technological developments, changes in our data practices, or new features added to the Services.
Where legally required, material updates will be communicated in advance, and certain changes may require you to re-consent to specific data processing activities before continuing to use the Services.

Personal Information We Collect
Personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) is information that can be used to identify or contact you, such as your name, address, email address, telephone number or similar information. This includes information that can be used to identify or contact you, such as your name, email address, postal address, telephone number, or similar identifiers. We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to use, such as when you create an account, contact us, purchase a subscription, or interact with our services. This may include your name, username, email address, billing details, account preferences, communication history, and any information you submit through forms or support requests.
We also automatically collect certain categories of device, system, and usage information when you access or use the Services. This may include IP addresses, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, hardware model, network information, session logs, clickstream data, VR device metadata, rendering performance metrics, crash logs, login timestamps, referring URLs, the pages or features you access, and the date and time of each request.
In providing our market-data and analytics platform, we may collect information related to your watchlists, search queries, viewed tickers, VR interactions, AI prompt inputs, alerts, visualizations you access, chart preferences, portfolio inputs (if provided), and settings you configure within the platform.
If you choose to link or integrate third-party accounts or services with StockStorm (such as analytics providers, data accounts, or authentication services), we may receive certain information from those third parties as permitted by their privacy policies and your account settings.
When you purchase a subscription, our payment processors (such as Stripe) collect and process payment information, including credit card numbers, billing addresses, and transaction metadata. While we may receive limited billing-related information, we do not store or directly access your full payment card details.
We may also collect approximate location information derived from your IP address or device settings to comply with market-data licensing restrictions, enforce geographic entitlements, prevent fraud, display regional pricing, or satisfy tax obligations.
In addition, we may collect inferences drawn from your activity on the platform, such as your potential interests, usage patterns, trading-related preferences, or likelihood of engaging with certain features. These inferences may be generated using analytics tools, machine learning, or automated systems to improve the Services.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information unless required for compliance, security, fraud prevention, or optional user-provided features. Any collection of sensitive data will be clearly disclosed at the time of collection.
How We Use Information Collected
We use the Personal Information and usage data we collect to operate, improve, secure, and personalize StockStorm.ai. This includes using your information for the specific purposes for which you provided it, as well as for related operational and administrative purposes. We may use information in the following ways:
· To operate, maintain, and provide the StockStorm platform, including account management, feature functionality, charting tools, analytics engines, VR or AI-powered experiences, and subscription services.
· To process transactions, manage billing and subscription renewals, verify payment information, and provide receipts, confirmations, and related account notices.
· To communicate with you, including sending service announcements, product updates, onboarding materials, newsletters, alerts, promotional messages, or notices required by law or contractual obligations.
· To personalize your experience, including customizing content, watchlists, chart preferences, recommendations, VR interactions, AI outputs, and advertising based on your behavior, account settings, or usage patterns.
· To develop, test, enhance, and improve our platform, including through analytics, performance monitoring, debugging, market research, and the creation of new products, features, or user experiences.
· To enforce usage limits, detect excessive or automated machine-driven access, and ensure compliance with licensing agreements, subscription tiers, and fair-use policies.
· To perform security-related functions, including fraud detection, account verification, troubleshooting, abuse monitoring, incident response, and protecting the integrity of our Services.
· To comply with applicable law, regulatory obligations, court orders, market-data vendor requirements, tax rules, and enforcement requests.
· To generate aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized data sets that do not identify any individual user, which we may use for analytics, product improvement, reporting, or commercial purposes.
· To deliver contextual advertising, interest-based advertising, retargeting, or marketing campaigns, in accordance with your preferences and applicable law.
· To conduct internal research, quality assurance, statistical modeling, and algorithm training (AI/ML), provided such use is done in accordance with applicable privacy laws and does not disclose your identity.
· To support platform integrity, including monitoring for prohibited trading activity, scraping, misuse of market data, or violations of StockStorm’s Terms of Use.
Except as specifically stated in this privacy policy, we will not share your personally identifiable information with any third parties outside of StockStorm.ai.
If the ownership or control of all or part of StockStorm.ai or a specific Services changes as a result of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, we may transfer your information to the new owner, subject to the same or higher level of privacy protections, to ensure continuity of service and legal compliance.
We will not sell your Personal Information except as permitted under applicable privacy laws, and we will honor any rights to opt-out of such sales or share-for-advertising practices.
Security
The personally identifiable information is stored in our limited-access servers. We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Our security program includes measures such as access controls, authentication procedures, encryption in transit, network monitoring, vulnerability management, and periodic security assessments intended to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems.
Although we take commercially reasonable steps to safeguard your Personal Information, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee absolute security, and you provide information at your own risk.
Online purchases made through our website are securely processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe. We do not store, process, or have direct access to your full credit card number, CVV, or bank account credentials. All payment information is handled in accordance with applicable payment-card industry rules, including PCI-DSS standards, through our payment partners.
We also restrict internal access to Personal Information to employees, contractors, and service providers who need such information to perform their job functions and who are bound by confidentiality obligations.
If we become aware of a security incident involving your Personal Information, we will take steps consistent with applicable law, which may include notifying you and relevant authorities when required.
Links
We may make content or services from other web sites including our co-branded web sites available to you from links located on StockStorm.ai. These other web sites are not subject to this privacy policy. We recommend that you review the privacy policy at each such web site to determine how that site protects your privacy.
Cookies
Like many websites, this website sets and uses cookies to enhance your user experience — to remember your personal settings, for instance. Advertisements may display on this website and, if so, may set and access cookies on your computer; such cookies are subject to the privacy policy of the parties providing the advertisement. We use first-party cookies for purposes including remembering your settings, maintaining your login session, improving platform performance, and preventing fraudulent or abusive activity. We may also use web beacons, pixel tags, software development kits (SDKs), log files, and other tracking tools that work in conjunction with cookies to measure usage, deliver content, and optimize the StockStorm platform.
Advertisements and content may be served by third parties on our website. These third parties may set and access their own cookies, tracking tags, or device identifiers, which are governed by their respective privacy policies. Such third parties may collect information about your browsing behavior over time and across different websites and devices in order to deliver interest-based advertising, measure ad performance, conduct analytics, or provide cross-context behavioral advertising. Third parties do not have access to StockStorm’s first-party cookies.
We may partner with analytics providers (such as Google Analytics), advertising technology platforms, data partners, and identity-resolution providers to help us measure usage patterns, personalize content, and deliver targeted or contextual advertisements. These providers may use cookies, pseudonymous identifiers, browser storage objects, or similar technologies to collect information about your activity on the StockStorm platform.
You can manage or disable cookies at any time through your browser settings. Please note that disabling cookies may limit some functionality of the Services. You may also opt out of certain third-party advertising cookies and interest-based advertising through tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA), the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI), device-level privacy settings, or the opt-out mechanisms provided by our partners. Turning off advertising cookies does not eliminate ads altogether; it simply prevents ads from being tailored to your interests.
Where required by law, we will request your consent before placing cookies that are not strictly necessary for the operation of the Services. You may withdraw or modify your cookie preferences at any time through your browser settings or applicable consent-management tools.
For additional information about cookies, online advertising, and your choices, you may visit industry resources such as https://www.aboutcookies.org or https://www.allaboutcookies.org.
Internet-based Transfers
Given that the internet is a global environment, using the internet to collect and process personal data necessarily involves the transmission of data on an international basis. Therefore, by browsing StockStorm.ai and communicating electronically with us you acknowledge and agree to our processing of personal data in this way.
Advertising
We may work with advertising partners, data partners, identity-resolution providers, analytics companies, and ad-tech platforms to deliver personalized advertising, measure ad performance, and improve the relevance of the ads you see across websites, apps, and devices. These partners may include, but are not limited to, identity-resolution services such as LiveRamp Inc.
When you visit our website, we may share certain information that we collect from you, such as your email address (in hashed or encrypted form), IP address, cookie or device identifiers, browser information, or operating system data, with these partners. These partners may use this information to return a unique, pseudonymous identifier that we may store in our first-party cookies to enable online, in-app, and cross-channel advertising and to help us deliver interest-based or targeted advertisements.
This process may constitute “cross-context behavioral advertising,” “targeted advertising,” or a “sale” of personal information under certain U.S. state privacy laws. Where required, we will provide you with the appropriate notices and the ability to opt out.
To opt out of this use, please click here: https://liveramp.com/opt_out/. Note that opt-outs are device- and browser-specific and may need to be reapplied.
We do not permit advertising partners to use the information we share with them to identify you personally without your consent. Instead, any identifiers used for advertising are typically pseudonymous and intended to improve the accuracy and performance of online advertising.
Opting out of targeted advertising does not mean that you will no longer see ads. You may continue to see general, non-personalized advertisements that are not based on your browsing behavior.
Where legally required, we will obtain your consent before engaging in targeted advertising, and you may withdraw that consent at any time through your cookie settings or browser preferences.
Privacy Notice For California Residents
This PRIVACY NOTICE FOR CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS supplements the information contained in the Privacy Statement of StockStorm.ai (“StockStorm”, “we,” “us,” or “our”) and applies solely to visitors, users, and others who reside in the State of California (“consumers” or “you”). We adopt this notice to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”) and other California privacy laws. Please follow the link to access StockStorm’s California Privacy Notice.
Children’s Privacy (COPPA)
StockStorm.ai is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect, maintain, or solicit Personal Information from children under 13. If you are under 13, you are prohibited from using the Services, creating an account, or submitting any Personal Information to us.
If we become aware that we have collected Personal Information from a child under the age of 13 without verified parental consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete the information from our systems as soon as practicable. We do not knowingly permit children to participate in interactive features, AI tools, VR environments, messaging functions, analytics features, or any other data-collecting functionality.
Parents or legal guardians who believe that their child may have provided Personal Information to us are encouraged to contact us immediately using the information in the “Contact Us” section. We will take prompt action to investigate and remove the information, consistent with our legal obligations under the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
If you are between the ages of 13 and 16, you should only use the Services with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. Some U.S. state privacy laws additionally require affirmative opt-in for “selling” or “sharing” Personal Information about minors under 16; we comply with these requirements and do not knowingly engage in such practices.
Data Retention
We retain Personal Information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including providing the Services, improving platform functionality, resolving disputes, enforcing our rights, complying with legal obligations, and meeting regulatory or financial record-keeping requirements. The specific retention period for a given category of information may vary depending on the nature of the data, the reason it was collected, and applicable laws.
We may retain certain information for extended periods when necessary to:
• maintain compliance with contractual market-data licensing restrictions,
• meet financial reporting or tax requirements,
• detect, prevent, or investigate fraud or security incidents,
• comply with audit obligations imposed by service providers or vendors,
• preserve evidence relevant to a legal claim or dispute, or
• ensure continuity of subscription records and user account history.
When Personal Information is no longer needed for the purposes stated above, we will delete, de-identify, anonymize, or otherwise render the data no longer personally identifiable, consistent with our internal data retention policies and applicable privacy laws. If complete deletion is not technically feasible, we will apply additional safeguards or restrictions to limit future use of the data.
Users may also request deletion of their Personal Information; such requests will be handled in accordance with applicable laws and the procedures described in the “Your Rights and Choices” section.
VR & AI Processing Disclosure
Some features of StockStorm may incorporate Virtual Reality (VR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning models, natural-language processing, or algorithmic recommendations intended to enhance user experience and deliver interactive and analytical tools. These technologies may process data such as chart interactions, behavioral metrics, movement data, cursor paths, watchlist activity, prompts, text inputs, voice commands, headset interactions, session logs, or other contextual signals used to operate or optimize VR and AI functionality.
AI-generated outputs are produced through automated systems that evaluate patterns, correlations, and aggregated data sets. These outputs are informational only and should never be relied upon as financial, investment, or trading advice. VR and AI features are provided for general educational, analytical, or entertainment purposes and do not constitute personalized recommendations.
We may use de-identified, pseudonymized, or aggregated data to improve the performance, accuracy, and reliability of our AI and VR systems. This may include training, testing, or validating machine learning models, as well as preventing fraud, identifying abnormal patterns, or improving system stability.
We do not use VR or AI technologies to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects without human involvement. In cases where certain AI-powered features are experimental, we will provide additional disclosures or consent mechanisms as required by applicable law.
By accessing VR or AI-driven functionality, you acknowledge and consent to the data processing practices described in this Privacy Policy, including the collection and use of relevant interaction data necessary for those features to operate properly.
Additional U.S. State Rights (Virginia / Colorado / Connecticut)
In addition to the rights described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy, residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have additional rights regarding their Personal Information. These rights may include the right to access Personal Information we process about you, the right to correct inaccuracies, the right to request deletion of Personal Information, the right to obtain a portable copy of your data, and the right to opt out of certain types of data processing, including targeted advertising, the sale of Personal Information (as defined by applicable law), or profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
If you reside in one of these states, you may exercise your rights by submitting a verified request through the methods described in the “Contact Us” or “Your Privacy Rights” sections of this Policy. We will respond to your request within the time required by applicable law. For certain rights, we may request additional information to verify your identity and ensure the security of your Personal Information.
If we decline to act on your request, you will be provided with a written explanation. You may have the right to appeal our decision within a specified period, depending on your state of residence. Instructions for submitting an appeal will be included with our response. We do not discriminate against individuals who exercise their state privacy rights.
These rights apply only to residents of states with active privacy legislation, and the scope of rights varies by jurisdiction. Some rights may not apply to certain types of data or to certain business activities. We will comply with all applicable state laws and provide you with the protections required by your jurisdiction.
Your Do-Not-Track / Global Privacy Control (GPC) Policy
Do-Not-Track (DNT) is a browser setting that requests websites not track users across online services for behavioral advertising or analytics. Because there is currently no industry consensus on how to interpret or respond to DNT signals, StockStorm.ai does not respond to traditional DNT browser requests at this time.
However, we recognize and honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals in jurisdictions where such recognition is required by law, including California and Colorado. When a valid GPC signal is detected, we will treat it as a request to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of Personal Information and a request to opt out of targeted advertising, to the extent these terms apply under applicable privacy laws.
GPC signals operate at the browser or device level. If you use multiple browsers or devices, you will need to enable GPC separately on each one. Enabling GPC may affect your experience on our website, including limiting personalization or disabling some advertising-related features. You may also manage your privacy settings through our cookie controls or by submitting an opt-out request directly through the mechanisms we provide.
We will continue to monitor legal developments and industry best practices regarding DNT and GPC and update our practices as required
Automated Decision-Making & Profiling Disclosure
Certain features of StockStorm may use algorithms, machine learning, artificial intelligence, or automated processing to analyze trends, identify patterns, or provide insights that help enhance your experience on the platform. Examples may include chart pattern recognition, anomaly detection, AI-driven content recommendations, data visualization enhancements, VR-based interactions, or the generation of automated summaries. These tools may evaluate your interactions, device information, or usage behavior to personalize certain aspects of our Services.
StockStorm does not use automated decision-making systems that produce legal or similarly significant effects without human involvement. We do not use profiling or AI-based scoring to make decisions regarding eligibility for financial services, credit, employment, housing, insurance, or other areas where automated decisions could materially affect your rights or livelihood.
Where AI or automated systems are used to assist with analytics or recommendations, their outputs are informational only, are not individualized financial advice, and should not be relied upon as the basis for investment decisions. You remain solely responsible for your trading and financial choices and for evaluating the appropriateness of any information presented to you through automated tools.
Users in jurisdictions with the right to opt out of certain profiling activities may do so by contacting us or adjusting preferences through the tools described in the “Your Privacy Rights” section. We will comply with applicable state laws and provide the disclosures and opt-out mechanisms required in your jurisdiction.
Financial/Payment Data Processing
We use third-party payment processors, such as Stripe, to handle all financial transactions and subscription payments for StockStorm.ai. When you provide payment information, including your credit card number, billing address, or other financial credentials, that information is transmitted directly to our payment partners through secure, encrypted channels. We do not store, receive, or have direct access to your full credit card number, security code, or bank account details. All payment processing is performed in compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) and other applicable security and financial-industry requirements.
We may maintain limited billing-related information, such as transaction dates, partial card information, payment method type, subscription tier, billing history, and invoice records, for account verification, fraud prevention, tax reporting, auditing, dispute resolution, and compliance purposes. This information is stored securely and used only for legitimate business operations, including customer support, service continuity, and regulatory compliance.
By completing a purchase or subscribing to our Services, you authorize our payment processors to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis when applicable, and you acknowledge that your payment information will be processed according to the privacy policies and terms of those third-party processors. If you wish to update or remove your payment method, you may do so through your account settings or by contacting our support team.
Appeals Process for Denied Privacy Requests
Residents of states that provide a statutory right to appeal privacy-related decisions, including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and other jurisdictions with similar laws, may have the right to request a review if we deny your privacy request. If we are unable to fulfill your initial request to access, correct, delete, or opt out of certain processing activities, we will notify you of the reason for the denial and provide instructions for how to appeal the decision.
To submit an appeal, you must contact us using the same method you used to submit the original request, clearly indicating that your communication is an “Appeal of Privacy Request Decision.” Please include any relevant details, including your original request, our response, and any information you believe supports reconsideration.
We will review your appeal in good faith and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law, typically within 45 days. If additional time is necessary, we will notify you of the extension and the reason for the delay. If your appeal is denied, we will provide a written explanation. Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to contact your state attorney general or privacy regulator to lodge a complaint or seek further review.
We do not discriminate or retaliate against individuals for exercising their privacy rights or appealing a decision.
Full “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” Notice
Certain U.S. state privacy laws, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and the Colorado Privacy Act, require businesses to provide consumers with clear notice of their right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of Personal Information, as defined by applicable law. These definitions are broad and may include sharing Personal Information with third parties for targeted advertising, cross-context behavioral advertising, identity-resolution services, or marketing analytics.
StockStorm.ai may engage in activities that constitute a “sale” or “sharing” under these laws, such as working with advertising partners, data partners, or analytics providers who use Personal Information to deliver more relevant advertising or measure ad performance. We do not sell Personal Information in the traditional sense (i.e., for monetary compensation), but certain data disclosures may still fall within the statutory definitions.
You have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your Personal Information at any time. To exercise this right, you may:
• Use our “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link available on our website;
• Adjust your cookie preferences or enable Global Privacy Control (GPC), which we honor where required by law; or
• Submit a request through the contact methods listed in this Privacy Policy.
Upon receiving a valid opt-out request, we will stop selling or sharing your Personal Information for targeted advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising, unless and until you authorize us to do so again. Opting out will not affect your ability to use the core features of the Service, although advertisements may still appear, they will simply not be personalized to your interests.
If you are a California resident under the age of 16, we do not knowingly sell or share your Personal Information, and we require opt-in consent for users aged 13–16 where applicable.
